The National Nutrition Program Monitoring, Evaluation and Research Steering Committee (MER SC) virtual meeting oversees four topics on Nov 12, 2020.
The Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI), the chair of the MER SC organized the virtual meeting in collaboration with the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI).
Dr. Masresha Tessema, acting director of the food science and nutrition research directorate (FSNRD) welcomed the participants and explained the key nutrition-related activities done in the directorate. He also expresses the expected outcomes from the meeting.
During the meeting issues on Ethiopia’s Nutrition-Sensitive Agriculture strategy, nutrition-related data mapping for Ethiopia, Edible oil Vitamin A stability and transfer of nutrient to food, and Food and Nutrition Strategy (FNS) update were presented and discussed.
