ADDIS ABABA – April 28, 2025 (NIPN/EPHI) - A delegation of Advisory Committee (AC) of the National Information Platforms for Nutrition-Ethiopia (NIPN-Ethiopia) is on an experience-sharing visit to India.
Available source indicates that the visit was planned with the objectives of enhancing knowledge sharing and fostering collaboration between Ethiopia and India.
AC members drawn from the Ethiopian Public Health Institute, NIPN-Ethiopia, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration, Ministry of Water and Energy and GIZ are expected to share with their Indian counterparts best practices and lessons learned in addressing malnutrition and promoting sustainable food systems.
The visiting team, led by Dr. Masresha Tessema, AC Secretary, and Director of Nutrition, Environmental Health, and Non-Communicable Diseases Research Directorate with the EPHI, was accorded a warm welcome by the Ethiopian Ambassador to India, H.E Fesseha Shawel.
