ADAMA - July19, 2025 (EPHI/NIPN) - The Nutrition, Environmental Health, and Non-Communicable Diseases Research Directorate (Nutrition) at the Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI) developed here yesterday a refined action plan for the upcoming 2018 Ethiopian Fiscal Year (EFY) and a strategic planning and management (SPM) III for EPHI for the next five years. The draft plans have gone through deep discussions at every level among the entire workers, who were grouped into their respective working divisions.
Employees of the directorate deliberated on, for the last two days, the plan documents to ensure their proper implementation in the coming years. Projects deemed inapplicable within the given period were suggested for postponement. Divisions that were evaluated for poor working progress were advised to remain committed for the future.
Director of the Nutrition, Environmental Health, and Non-Communicable Diseases Research Directorate, Dr. Masresha Tessema, forwarded detailed comments and feedback regarding draft research documents. “We all should remain committed to giving due attention to the well completion of the hard-earned grants so that we do not lose the chance for future opportunities,” he said. The quality of the project being carried out here will determine the availability of the next grant opportunities, according to the director.
Following the final touch on the draft plans by division heads and other concerned bodies of the directorate, the compiled document will be directed to the Strategic Affairs Executive Office of the EPHI. (EPHI/NIPN)
