About 14 participants from different sectors attended the meeting, including ministries, universities, and research institutes.

Dr. Aregash Samuel, lead researcher at EPHI, welcomed participants and stated in her opening speech that the different sectors involved in implementing the Food and Nutrition Strategy would utilize the forum to exchange experiences, gain knowledge from one another's successes and difficulties, and share valuable perspectives.

Dr. Aregash Samuel also noted that the quarterly MER-SC workshop, hosted by EPHI, enables sectoral offices to share updates effectively. She highlighted it as a valuable platform for strengthening coordination across multi-sectoral entities.

During the meeting, performance reports from four ministries, including EPHI and Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural Research (EIAR), were presented, focusing on achievements, challenges, and the way forward to improve nutrition outcomes.
