Using data from the four rounds of the Ethiopia Demographic and Health Survey (EDHS) and data from the Ethiopia STEPwise approach to Surveillance (STEPS) Non-communicable Disease Risk Factors survey (NCD STEPS) this research note describes modifiable exposure factors for overweight/obesity, hypertension, and prediabetes/diabetes.

This report describes progress in Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) coverage using the new World Health Organization (WHO)/UNICEF Joint Monitoring Program (JMP) service standards. It also quantifies the contribution of improvement in WASH services to the reduction in diarrhea and stunting between 2000-2016.

High intake of sugar-sweetened beverages and sugar-sweetened snacks has been linked with an increased risk of obesity and non-communicable diseases. Using data from the 2010 and 2016 Household Consumption and Expenditure Survey (HCES), this research note describes trends in household consumption and daily energy intake from sugar-sweetened beverages and sugar-sweetened snacks.

The National Nutrition Program (2016-2020) progress analysis: evidence for the development of the National Food and Nutrition Strategy
