Nutrition Research Advisor
Dr. Anbissa Muleta is a Nutrition Research Advisor for Nutrition Information Platform for Nutrition (NIPN) at EPHI. He is a nutritionist by profession with 16+ work experience in nutrition. He has a PhD degree in human nutrition from Hawassa University and MSc in Food and Nutritional Sciences, from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia.
He has also been engaged in multisectoral nutrition coordination and generated evidences for informed decision making for different nutrition implementing sectors in Ethiopia. He also supports and advises evidence synthesis by NIPN in Ethiopia for better food and nutrition strategy implementation with evidences.
Dr. Anbissa has expertise in both qualitative and quantitative implementation researches in the nutrition field. His studies are mostly related to the nutrition of mothers and children, particularly the effects of micronutrient and macronutrient deficits. Moreover, he published articles in peer-reviewed and reputable journals and served as a mentor to over 25 postgraduate students in higher education specializing in public health in nutrition. Additionally, he assessed a thesis of master’s students at several Ethiopian universities.
