ADDIS ABABA - July 24, 2024 (NIPN/EPHI) - The National Information Platforms for Nutrition (NIPN-Ethiopia) is conducting its annual meeting of the National Food and Nutrition Strategy Monitoring, Evaluation, and Research Steering Committee (MER-SC) at the National Training Centre of the Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI).
In his opening remarks, Dr. Masresha Tessema, Director of the Food Science and Nutrition Research Directorate (FSNRD) at EPHI, expressed his anticipation for positive performance reports from the National Food and Nutrition Strategy implementing Sectors. EPHI, serving as the technical arm of the Federal Ministry of Health (MoH), plays a crucial role in this initiative, said Dr. Masresha.
Dr. Aregash Samuel, NIPN-Ethiopia Coordinator, welcomed the participants, noting that the Food and Nutrition Strategy Implementing Sectors are expected to present detailed annual performance reports. Following the presentations and discussions, participants will reportedly receive training on systematic reviews.
